The MBI Al Jaber Foundation Scholarships - FAQ

What do you look for in an MBI Scholar?

  • First and foremost, we look for people who have read the application forms, meet the criteria and have explained exactly why they feel they deserve a place.
  • We are looking for people who have that extra spark, who know where they wish to go and - above all - are determined to use this opportunity to help not only themselves but, most importantly, the people with whom they live - that is, their country, their region, their community.

What will my scholarship cover?

  • This varies according to the type of scholarship. Our UK Masters’ Degree scheme, for example, is a full scholarship. That is, fees, stipend and accommodation.

Will I have to attend an interview?

  • You should be available to attend an interview in the region should it be required. At interview your future potential will be assessed.

Is there any particular subject I should apply for?

  • Priority is given to those wishing to study subjects which will be of practical benefit to the Arab world. The UNDP on the Arab world report highlights areas of particular need.

MBI Al Jaber Foundation

The MBI Al Jaber Foundation was born from Sheikh Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jabers' desire to promote better understanding between the peoples of the Middle East and the wider world, especially in Europe but also with the USA and elsewhere.

We believe that better understanding will be achieved through education and an awareness of and respect for each others’ cultures.
