Phoenician Ship Expedition

The Phoenician Ship Expedition will retrace the ancient voyage carried out by Phoenician seafarers in circumnavigating Africa in a traditionally built wooden merchant vessel from circa 600 BC. This vessel will be built in Arwad, Syria, an ancient Phoenician trading port and the expedition will set sail from Syria in August 2008.
